Daily Announcements

• Boys & Girls basketball games TONIGHT @ South vs. McKay. This will be our last home league game and will honor our SENIORS in basketball, cheer and dance.
JV Boys & JV Girls games are at 4:15; Varsity Girls and Freshman Boys @ 5:45; Varsity Boys & JV2 Girls at 7:15.

• Spring sports begin Monday, February 26th which means you have 4 days to get your blue cards. Even if you’ve already done a sport this year or this is your 2nd sport, you still NEED a BLUE CARD for the Spring sport you are trying to do.

• Attention GIRL’S TENNIS players: there will be a MANDATORY meeting Friday, Feb. 23rd in the Little Theater from 2:30-3:30.

• Wrestling Awards TONIGHT @ 6pm in the Lower commons.

• There is a MANDATORY meeting with all FOOTBALL players TODAY @ 2:37 in The Little Theater.

• There is an ALL Track meeting Thursday, Feb. 22nd from 2:43 to 3:43 in the Little Theater for anyone interested in participating in track & field this Spring.

• Any students interested in volunteering at the Awesome 3000 on May 5th, should see Mrs. August in the Leadership office for more details.

• TONIGHT the Environment Club will be hosting a screening of Al Gore’s new sequel to “An Inconvenient Truth” in the Little Theater at 5:30. The film, which addresses the issue of global climate change, is open to the public. There is NO fee for the film, but we are accepting donations to the fund we are raising to install a water bottle filling station near the main gym.

• SENIORS – please let the registrar know by March 15th how you want your name to appear on your diploma. If you don’t contact Mr. Mendez, your name will show as appears in our District records.

• “Outdoor School is looking for South Salem HS sophomores, juniors, & seniors to be Student Leaders this Spring! Students who want to be new student leaders should attend one training of their choice. There are over 26 trainings from which to choose, including one here on Tuesday, March 13th in the Lower commons at 6pm. Visit the Counseling office for sign-up information or go to www.nwoutdoorschool.org.”
