The amount of credit ranges from none at all to full sophomore standing. Some of the recognition policies from Northwest schools are listed below.

Oregon State University: guaranteed admission; sophomore standing for students with a total score of 30 or higher on IB exams; credit granted for Higher Level exams with scores of 5 or better.

University of Oregon: credit granted for Higher Level exams with a score of 5 or better.

Lewis and Clark College: 4 semester hours of credit for Higher Level exams with scores of 6 or 7; 16 credit hours for IB Diploma recipients; 24 credit hours for IB Diploma recipients who have a total score of 36 or better.

Pacific Lutheran University: 30 semester hours granted to IB Diploma recipients.
